Behind the countless hours we've spent reminiscing about our dreams and creative ambitions, we've finally taken the first steps towards making those dreams a reality. So, what were these dreams, you might be wondering?
Our aspirations revolved around creating something uniquely our own and bringing our ideas to life. It's a far cry from the days when our biggest concern was what our mom would prepare for dinner, and our most important decision was which deck and set of wheels we'd ride on. Those were the days when we spent every possible moment outside, cruising on our skateboards until the distant call of "dinner" echoed through the kitchen window. Looking back, those simple moments were our fondest memories, and as we've grown older, we've felt the need to bring em' back.
Even now, the memories remain vivid. I can still recall the distinct smell inside the local skateshop, a mixture of new decks, fresh grip tape, and the promise of countless adventures. The walls lined with boards, racks filled with trucks, and clothing displays held a unique allure, far more captivating than the rows of candy at the supermarket. The skateshop was a sanctuary, a place where we could exchange jokes with the store clerk, try on the latest skate gear, and lose ourselves in the skateboard videos playing in the background. Of course, there were also the countless times when I pointed at clothes that were far too expensive, only to have my mother diplomatically reject my choices. I miss those moments, the camaraderie, the excitement, the sense of belonging.
The thought of those days, and the experiences that came with them, has continued to haunt us. We understand the immense value that period of our lives brought us, the sense of community, and the opportunities for self-expression. Now, it feels like it's our turn to give back, to share those experiences with a new generation. It's a journey we're excited to embark upon, one that seeks to capture the essence of those memorable skate days and share it with others who are longing for a taste of that same spirit.
